…for me anyway. While most people are off in other parts of the country/world, I’m fresh out of summer school, and currently bumming around at home. So what do I have planned? Nothing. Which is quite sad, considering how I look forward to summer every year.
The good news that I can brag about is that I have officially entered into j1m0ne’s RSS feeds on Google Reader, as has OtaAgg. (*^―^*) Hopefully we won’t disappoint. (*゜ω゜) At this point, we were considering on doing a joint blog…what the name would be, who knows. We haven’t gotten that far yet. XD
Since I have nothing better to do today, I shall make this a boring update of my life. (At this point, you click the little ‘X’ box at the top, right-hand corner of your browser.)
This morning I woke up to my alarm that was meant to be for my sister at 5:25 am to go to work. But I got up at 6 anyway, because I had to go to school for exam review. Oh the horrors of summer school – waking up at the crack of dawn just to get a nicer looking average on my report card. ( ̄Д ̄;;
Did all the usual, then logged onto MSN and opened up my trusty Firefox with WordPress set as my home page. Lo and behold, I see that I have two new comments. I thought to myself, “Oh, I think I pinged to one of my entries again,” so I go to check it out. I was surprised to see that OtaAgg commented on my Animelo 2008 post regarding the graces of Minorin. She never comments – only I comment on her posts, so I was like, “Haha, aw, she actually read it.” Then I look at who else commented (I’m still learning how to use WordPress) and my eyes bulge and I go, “OMFG, J1M0NE COMMENTED ON MY BLOG.” ((( ;゜Д゜))) Oh the irony of laughing at OtaAgg spazzing when she woke up to finding j1m0ne commenting on her blog.
So knowing that I was subscribed by j1m0ne, I happily left at 7 am to go to school. I had a good feeling about my exam. Got there, took a look, went ‘Wtf, I got owned by four marks AGAIN,’ silently wept, and set home. I decided to stop by work and my ears were a little clogged, so I interjected the waiting list and let myself into the examination room when the next patient came out to talk to the doctor. (If you don’t know yet, I work at a clinic, where my mother also happens to work. I swear we’re always on-call.) When I came out, my mom told me to book an appointment the next time I came. I blew her a raspberry and went home. That’s when I started typing up this entry, and half an hour later, at 11 am, I got interupted in the middle of writing my post by OtaAgg. We’re going to the mall to go shopping for birthday gifts. I wonder if we’ll come back to write a nice little entry detailing our misadventures…So off I go!

I’m back and continuing with my entry. Little did I know that missing the bus would take 15 minutes (it usually takes 5), I was worried I’d arrive half an hour late, on top of the one hour commute I had to take. So I got there at around 12:45 pm, and I was waiting at the front, and I didn’t know that OtaAgg had come up behind me going “boo.” I swear I didn’t hear her the first time, cos I was listening to music and watching Super Trio on the tv in the store across. But I did hear you the second time before you called my name though! (;゜▽゜)
So we walked around while we waited for another person to arrive, and we went on a mini otaku spree, checking out the stores for figurines and anime. We walked by one store that purely sold anime (and some hentai in the back room), and we were checking out the shelving where they display products on the outside. We saw many favourite titles such as Black Lagoon, Rozen Maiden, Witchblade, Fate/Stay, Ergo Proxy, Claymore, etc etc, then I turned around and smacked OtaAgg on the arm really hard (accidentally, it wasn’t meant to be hard), and I went, “ZOMG, IT’S ARIA!!” (*´□`*) And we did a little spazzing on the spot outside the store. So after that we met up with our unnamed friend, and we did a little figurine search again, this time we found a lot of Yuki figurines from Haruhi, among others. Then we got down to business and went searching in music stores for Super Junior music and posters as a birthday gift. After we finished that, we went up to eat at the food court and talked about how the Jap food there tastes disgustingly like Chinese food, and made a NTS to never go back there.
Then the misadventures of OtaAgg began (actually, it started way before when we were looking for phones. Maybe she’ll blog about it?) – we went to the arcade and she dealt her hands on Street Fighter III. She claimed she hasn’t played in a long time, thus she was GGed in the first round. Then she lost on that nasty green man with one arm (I forgot his name – started with an O), and she blamed it on starting off on the wrong side. So we switch sides, and she changes to Ken, and yet again, her revenge becomes her ultimate demise. She gets GGed by the same person.
Hurrah! We have a fuming OtaAgg! ヽ(゜▽、゜)
So we get out of Pmall and on the way to some psychic reader’s house to check prices for palm readings and other weird stuff, I was showing off the collection of seiyuu pictures I had on my phone (courtesy of j1m0ne), making OtaAgg jealous cos she doesn’t have room on her phone but for two ring tones.
Eventually we arrived at our friend’s house afterwards to play Dynasty Warrior 5 on PS2. It’s such a great game to relieve stress – slashing and beating the crap out of everyone because you lost in an arcade game. ヽ(´∀`)ノ
All in all, I think I spent 8 hours in total, commuting and going out. It was a fun day, even though we hardly did anything productive. I’m such a noob at playing games. I only own a computer. How I would love to own all those awesome games courtesy of Japan game makers. Oh, speaking of that, OtaAgg and I decided that we should get Monster Hunter for PSP after the trend of favourite seiyuu. But then again, that’s if I’ll ever get a PSP. Maybe I’ll get the game for you for Christmas if you can’t download find it anywhere.
Oh yeah, on the way to playing Dynasty Warriors, OtaAgg told me about a vid she found on YouTube about Minorin. She was so happy about it, so I assumed it was a nice/funny video. Later, I found out that it was because of Minorin’s bishoujo-ness that she was so happy about – and another reason (on changing lines of profession), which can be found at her blog – but not on the content of the video. ALL MINORIN FANS UNITE!! TO ARMS!! (≧д≦)
P.S. On the topic of Minorin, I watched some of her Live Concert 2008 Contact DVD footage today during dinner. Well, I only skipped to the end because OtaAgg was telling us over lunch how funny Minorin sounded trying to pronounce Engrish, “Dewa, kitei kudasai, Merutee Terru Storaju.” We still love you, Minorin. <3
omg this entry is so long, i gave up half way. hahaha solly!
